			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to an article published in The Economist, &#8220;the infusion of data-enabled services into ever more aspects of life&#8221;, shall be the most evident consequence of the enduring Covid-19 pandemic. Digital transformation is expected to have greater importance for companies in the future, very shortly.</p>
<p>A 2019 survey of CEOs, directors and some senior executives discovered that their #1 concern was risk involving the digital transformation. However, 70% of their initiatives towards this motion failed to meet its goals. Of a whopping $1.3 trillion spent on the new endeavors in 2019, unfortunately, $900 billion was wasted.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Fundamentally, digital transformation teams fail, despite the possibilities for growth and efficiency gains, as people lack the mindset to a shift. With flawed organizational practices, it is extremely difficult to transform completely. Moreover, digitization would magnify the flaws, only to make it appear bigger.</p>
<p>What is Digital Transformation?</p>
<p>When you bring in a new system into an organization, it is only obvious to get a little hyper with the plans for implementation, specification, and counting.<br />
Digital change is one of the most critical processes today, which ensures organizations are relevant as well as profitable in this competitive market.<br />
The process involves integrating innovative technologies and services into existing business practices and streamline operations. The idea is to improve and add greater value to the final product. This involves adding new tools and applications, storing data, recording information, and a lot of new techniques.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s of course, the digital aspect of things. But, if you spare a thought, we are talking about &#8220;transformation&#8221;, which means introducing innovative ways to work with the existing team.</p>
<p>Tricky, right!</p>
<p>Anybody would be willing to buy a new set of digital suites with the latest tools, but who would run it? The key here is to ensure that the talent, or people, onboard, and the company culture is prepared to adapt. A successful transformation is change management, and people can only make it happen.</p>
<p>Getting Your Team Involved</p>
<p>Any change is difficult. If you want to introduce major changes in your organization, you have to ensure everyone is with you, and not only your leadership team. Yes, you cannot let the team take big decisions for the organization, but involving your team in a process can give better results.</p>
<p>A McKinsey study showed that whereas 84% of the CEOs are dedicated to major transformation changes, only about 45% of the frontline employees agree. Obviously, connecting the dots is a primary obstacle to enact a successful strategy.</p>
<p>There are many ways to achieve this:<br />
• Take feedback from the team about the changes you implemented<br />
• Keep your team abreast of the implementation strategy<br />
• Incentivize the team with internal marketing to convince new technology to the most reluctant team member</p>
<p>Transformation to the digital landscape can be potentially beneficial to an organization, but only if every single team member agrees and accepts the change. Make sure you have a positive digital transformation team that understands why it is important to adopt new technology and its benefits.</p>
<p>Invest &#038; Train Your Team</p>
<p>Going digital would have hurdles. Some of the team members may not be as tech-savvy as others. However, you cannot leave them behind. To bring them up to that level, a lot of training is required to help them adapt to the latest technology and tools.<br />
Remember, people have different ways of learning too, and speeds may differ. For instance, some team members may understand the concept in one demo session, whereas others may require multiple days of training to get a grip of the new technology.</p>
<p>Experiment with varied training materials, such as online courses and hands-on learning, and give them the flexibility to choose how they want to learn.<br />
It may take some time to learn how to use new technology for better results, especially for team members who do not possess the natural inclination towards technology. Investing in training is a sure-shot way to leverage this transformation.</p>
<p>Digital Transformation Framework Doesn&#8217;t Change Everything</p>
<p>The digital transformation framework is not about changing everything at once.<br />
When you start transforming the business, getting carried away is easy. However, it&#8217;s critical to know about the technologies to adopt. You may consider the one that employees would find easier to implement, and being selective to choose the best way.<br />
Anything that glitters is not better. When you are planning to transform your business processes digitally, it is only to simplify the work process and facilitate your team members. So, do not make it complicated. If you have any doubt about the changes, consult the frontline staff.<br />
For instance, if you want to adopt a new platform for online communication, but you cannot decide between Zoom, Teams, and Slack, consult your staff and take their opinion.</p>
<p>Broaden Your Vision</p>
<p>Do not have a myopic vision when it comes to a major transformation. Digital transformation services aim to make lives simpler and better. A successful transformation strategy is about introducing new changes into the business to make it more efficient and reduce employee workloads.</p>
<p>If executed properly, such a digital revolution can lead to improved working practices, increases value of customers, and lesser workload for the team. If your digital move is not ticking all the boxes, something is amiss.</p>
<p>Bring Change Right from the Top</p>
<p>The concept of grassroots change is intuitive. However, in reality, change is more likely to take place if driven right from the top. Again, that does not indicate a hierarchical or autocratic structure or a culture that breeds fear. It simply implies leadership, both transformational and transactional.</p>
<p>When digital change is concerned, the primary implication is that no major change or even an upgrade to the organization is possible unless you select and develop the top leaders to start. It&#8217;s very clear that leadership, both good as well as bad, flows down to affect every aspect of an organization. The single most factor that determines the effectiveness of the transformation of an organization is the CEO or the top leader of an organization. Of course, industry, culture, context, legacy, people, and real tech matter, just like other resources.</p>
<p>However, these things are rather too similar among competitors, while values, mindset, integrity, and competence of senior-most leaders stand out to be the primary differentiating factor. Needless to add, everything in an organization can be imitated, but not talent. So, invest in the best talent for greater impact, which is exactly where you would get the highest value.</p>
<p>Final Thoughts</p>
<p>Technology is all about doing a lot more with minimum resources, yet the arrangement is effective only when technology is paired with the best human skills. Like technological disruption leading to automation and eliminating out-of-date jobs, it has created more jobs. This is precisely why innovation is also called &#8216;creative destruction.&#8217; Any creative facet of innovation depends on people. So, leveraging human adaptability to upskill and reskill the workforce can augment technology and humans simultaneously. Simply put: a brilliant innovation would be irrelevant if we do not have enough skilled workforce to implement it, and the most inspiring human minds would be least useful if they do not connect with technology. The core implication is &#8211; when leaders want to invest in new technology, they should consider investing in people who make technology useful.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Before getting into the best solution, the first and foremost things to see are the definition of SLAM and its applications. The full form of SLAM is simultaneous localization and mapping. It is a method, a part of the robots&#8217; artificial intelligence, that helps them create maps and navigate around. This is because, like humans, even robots need maps to find their way. But unlike humans, they cannot use GPS because it does not show accurate area, which can be troublesome for the robots as they need precision.</p>
<p>Moreover, GPS does not work so well indoors. This is why they need a simultaneous localization and mapping method to help them map their areas and the location as they go along the path. It is done by the robots when they align the data they collect with the stored data. Through that, they map out the areas for them to go. Even if it sounds easy, there are multiple stages to the process of mapping and aligning the stored data with the newly collected data. And a variety of algorithms are used to get the type of data parallel to the GPUs.</p>
<p>Several applications are used in the SLAM method for robots, as mentioned above that the process contains multiple stages. These applications are:</p>
<p>Sensor data alignment &#8211; With this application, a robot captures the images 90 times a second for depth image measurements and 20 times a second for precise range measurements. In computers, a robot is but a dot. So the sensors in the machine continuously gather data on their surroundings. With these data, they draw out the map and exact location of their current state. It records the distance between their previous location as well.<br />
Motion estimation &#8211; The rotational wheels in the robots measure how much distance it has traveled so far. Inertial measurement units also record the speed and acceleration of the machine&#8217;s position. All these data are put together in sensor fusion to know the overall performance and status of the robot&#8217;s movements.<br />
Sensor data registration &#8211; Sensor data registration is also called a measurement between two data points. It can also be a measurement between a newly recorded measurement and the already built-in map. After the new data is registered, it can create a new area map or scan over the pre-registered map inside the robot.<br />
GPU for split-second calculations &#8211; The maps drawn by the robot is calculated 20-100 times a second. And for these calculations, the processing power needs to be high level. And for that, the GPUs should also be more powerful than the average CPU.<br />
Visual odometry and mapping for localization &#8211; Visual odometry is an application that uses video as the only input for data collection. As for mapping, there are three ways that can be done. One is to record and run algorithms for the individual controlling the robot to build the map based on the algorithm. The second is to stream the data algorithm for the controller at the station to draw out the map. And the third &#8211; the most recommended one &#8211; is to register data using odometry application and lidar scan so that the mapping can be done through the log mapping technique. This way, the robot does not have to run around the same area again and again to collect information.</p>

<p>We just can&#8217;t get there for now. But then, at least we want to watch it. See it.</p>
<p>But I have seen people complaining &#8220;with a small telescope they can&#8217;t see much!&#8221;. And you too might agree on that.</p>
<p>And you know what? They are right! They will never be able to see more than what they try for.</p>
<p>This so-called beginner astronomers get discouraged, because they don&#8217;t get the results they expected.</p>
<p>Observing sky is not like spying your neighbors with binoculars. Its not that quick!</p>
<p>A good sky observer is also good in patience and is able to stare through the eyepiece for hours.</p>
<p>To be very very clear, improving telescope performance is not just about tuning scope. Off course its part of it. But you also need to tune yourself and your eyes.</p>
<p>So in this article, today, you will learn some telescope hacks. I have found this to be most effective. This are the 8 simple DIY telescope improvement tips that works.</p>
<p>So here are the few things which can help not just optimize yourself but your telescope as well. So you can see more and better:</p>
<p>1. Look for Clear sky<br />
There&#8217;s no substitute to the clear sky. In fact it can indirectly add an extra inch to your aperture.<br />
Look up in the sky at day time for clues. Are there clouds? When the sun is over the head, block it with your hand and see if its clear blue around it. At the sunrise or sunset, make sure there are no clouds at horizon.</p>
<p>2. Avoid Light Pollution</p>
<p>Pollution in no form is good for us. And when it comes to stargazing, the most hazardous one is light pollution.</p>
<p>We usually observe the sky at night time. The simple reason for this, is because we need our surroundings as dark as possible. So that you can explicitly get to see the light coming from that cute little distant object. But in our modern society, there&#8217;s light pollution everywhere. So its never gonna be a ideal spot. So what you have to do is go to a dark place.<br />
And it should be with least artificial light (eg. Street light etc). Going away from city is best when you want to see faint/far distant object.</p>
<p>3. New Moon is Good</p>
<p>Aim for longer hours of observations especially on new moon. Try to have at least two session per week.</p>
<p>4. Let Your Eyes Adopt to Darkness</p>
<p>Understand your eyes. They are on habit to brightness. So it will take some practice for your eyes to adopt to darkness. And your pupil to setup.<br />
When you start observing in dark surrounding. Make sure you don&#8217;t see source directly (like phone, or light bulbs etc.). It will disturb the adaptation. Use red flash light if needed and still don&#8217;t directly look inside it. It may take upto half an hour for your eyes to be at its 100% ability.</p>
<p>5. Keep Staring at it!</p>
<p>You know what? There&#8217;s a secret! To actually notice the details. Just keep staring at the object constantly through the eyepiece. And as you keep on, the details starts to unlock. It may take a hour to enjoy the full view. Off-course, the time varies with distance from object. And you can take small breaks in between as you stare. But just don&#8217;t disturb the concentration of your pupil with shiny things.</p>
<p>6. Thermally Optimize the Scope</p>
<p>Its likely that when you put your telescope outside to start observations, it will be warmer than outside air.</p>
<p>What then happen is, the scope radiates heat which can cause problem to viewing. So no matter how small your scope is, it&#8217;s better to allow it to collimate to outside temperature.</p>
<p>For scopes upto 4 inches, it usually takes 20 minutes. And for scopes larger than 4 inches, add 10 minutes extra per extra inches.</p>
<p>Usually reflector scope takes less time for the process than Refractor.</p>
<p>7. Stabilize Your Telescope Mount</p>
<p>Hold it strong! As you zoom-in the objects, the tiny vibrations your scope makes, are also zoomed-in. Its a big problem when you zoom high. You just won&#8217;t be able to see things at its best. They just won&#8217;t look clear! Its usually a big problem with cheap, lightweight telescopes.<br />
So what you have to do is to stabilize it. Suspend some heavy wight (like Backpack, or waterbottles etc.) to the tripod. Hope you got the clue!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What would happen to you if your home life was more organized than it is right now? Can work-life balance be achieved? What are the tools at our disposal? Could scheduling appointments and keeping them at home help us save time and prioritize?</p>
<p>What is the challenge we face? I sometimes find that time spent at home can be the busiest time, especially in the times we live in. Imagine someone working from home, home-schooling children, and sometimes even doing a side hustle. Imagine also the full-time home-based entrepreneur. How do they manage to do all they need to do in a day?. We are living in a time when many entrepreneurs and even company employees have adopted work- at &#8211; home culture. This comes with its challenges as the lines become blurred between home and work. These blurred lines and constraints on the limited resource called time result in over-worked, under-rested, burnt-out individuals. Whilst good time management has been encouraged and indeed, embraced in the workplace, I believe more needs to be done in changing the mindset for the elusive work-life balance to be achieved.</p>
<p>What are the tools at our disposal? To manage time effectively at home, there are many interventions one can employ including setting goals for the day, prioritizing wisely, setting a time limit for every task, organizing oneself, and instituting the discipline of appointments. Yes, an appointment at home! We can spend time pontificating on the pros and cons of each intervention, however, I believe we need to focus on appointments and see how this can powerfully change the course of one&#8217;s day regardless of whether it&#8217;s a workday or weekend. Life is busy as it is without any intrusions. The question is how do you handle the one who announces that they are at the gate. These can be friends, neighbors, a salesman of some product you do not even need. I am not promoting regimentation here but rather a culture of filling your day with what&#8217;s important. Everything that we succeed at is because we carefully plan and execute it. I am a firm believer that you cannot manage time if you do not manage yourself thus I implore you to incorporate planning and appointments into your repertoire. I am not talking about something I do not do. I have to achieve many things in a day therefore I set appointments with my work, others, and myself.</p>
<p>Could scheduling appointments and keeping them on the home front help us save time and prioritize? Whereas we have established that it is a normal business practice to set appointments and keep them, we need to abandon the liberal open-door policy of allowing all and sundry to have access to us as and when they please on the home front. Please understand where I am coming from. We each have greatness within us but for us to achieve it we need to culture great habits. Employing the use of appointments at home and seeing only those people you had agreed to see removes non-essential encounters especially during the most productive hours. I know this will vary with culture, geographical region, or even level of affluence, whether you live in a low density or high-density residential area, but doesn&#8217;t negate the need to be organized and effective. Controlling access determines how organized you are and how well you will work and rest when the time for scheduled rest comes.</p>
<p>What do we need to do differently? We need to be disciplined and diligent, learn to say no, now is not a good time, let&#8217;s make an appointment for next week. What are the benefits of this approach? You are not always fire-fighting to meet deadlines, You are not always tired because you have not taken time out to rest. You have set aside enough time to spend with your loved ones or a loved one. If you are a busy person, I am sure you appreciate what I am saying. Whether it&#8217;s time to work uninterrupted, family time, or &#8220;me-time&#8221;, it takes some kind of order to enjoy it.</p>
<p>I am not saying that those that come unannounced are bad people. No, not at all, they probably are people you enjoy spending time with. Nevertheless, there must be prior communication so that you can attend to your visitor(s) when it is convenient for both you and them. It can be quite disrupting and a whole day can just pass by without achieving anything that you had planned to do.</p>
<p>As we grow older we begin to appreciate that rest and recovery need to be scheduled. The fact that I am relaxing doesn&#8217;t mean that I don&#8217;t have anything to do. One therefore cannot assume that just because you are at home you are available. Maybe you have scheduled that time to rest. That is important. You need to make an appointment with yourself, spouses need to also set aside time for each other. Parents need to schedule a time to spend with their children. When you have some sort of order in your life you determine who sees you and who you see. It also means that your relationships will be healthy and that makes you a happier person.</p>
<p>In conclusion, I believe that the work-life balance can be achieved. There are many tools at our disposal just like it is in the workplace.I believe we could do more and be happier if we are disciplined enough to make only the commitments we can keep.I am certain that setting appointments and keeping them at home help us save time and prioritize.</p>

This is especially true, when, it comes to economic issues, including investment, real estate, interest rates, inflationary pressures, government actions, international factors, etc. What are the ramifications of inflation, recession, interest rates, Federal Reserve Bank decisions, etc? How can one, hedge &#8211; his &#8211; bet, in order to minimize unnecessary risks, while receiving a quality return, also? There is no simple answer, because so many factors, have significant influences. With, that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly, consider, examine and review potential factors, in order to help readers, have a more &#8211; complete understanding of the possibilities.</p>
<p>1) Interest rates: We have experienced a prolonged period of historically &#8211; low &#8211; interest rates. This has created easy money, because the cost of borrowing is so low. Both individuals and corporations have benefited, at least, in the immediate- term, permitting home buyers to purchase more house, because their monthly charges, are low, due to low mortgage rates. Corporate and government bonds, and banks, have paid low returns. It has stemmed, inflation, and created a rise in home prices, we haven&#8217;t witnessed, in recent memory. The Federal Reserve Bank has signaled they will be ending this propping &#8211; up, and will also raise rates, probably three times, in 2022. What do you think that will cause.</p>
<p>2) Auto loans, consumer loans, borrowing: The auto industry has been, significantly, impacted by supply chain challenges. When rates rise, auto loans and leases, will be more costly.</p>
<p>3) THis pattern began after the Tax Reform legislation, passed at the end of 2017, which created the initial, new, trillion dollars deficits</p>
<p>4) Government spending, caused by the financial suffering and challenges, because of shut downs, etc, because of the pandemic, created trillions more in debt. Unfortunately, debt must be eventually addressed.</p>
<p>5) Perception and attitude: The past couple of years,apparently, created a public perception, plus many fears, with a crippling economic impact.</p>
<p>Either, we begin to plan, effectively, and with common sense and an open &#8211; mind, many will be at &#8211; risk. Wake up, America, and demand better leadership, service and representation.</p>
